Text to Speech
Use your browser's built-in Web Speech API to read any text aloud. Choose from all available system voices, adjust speech rate (0.5×–2×) and pitch (0.5×–2×), and control playback with play, pause, and stop. No external API needed — everything runs locally in your browser.

What voices are available?
Available voices depend on your operating system and browser. Chrome on Windows typically has Google voices; macOS has Siri/Alex/Samantha; mobile devices add language-specific voices. The tool lists all voices installed on your system.
Does this send my text to a server?
No — the Web Speech API runs entirely in your browser using your OS speech engine. Your text never leaves your device.
What browsers support Web Speech API?
Chrome, Edge, and Safari have good support. Firefox has limited or no support on some platforms. If no voices appear, try Chrome or Edge.
